and welcome to my online office.

I'm honored to represent the citizens of Woodbridge, Dumfries, Triangle, Quantico, Montclair, Southbridge, and Manassas in the General Assembly of Virginia. It is our goal to be accessible and responsive to the citizens of the 52nd District, and this website is an easy and effective way for you to be in touch with us, and to stay informed on our progress in representing you.

The 2009 regular session of the General Assembly adjourned on February 28, 2009. We have now returned to the district office.

We work for you, so please don't hesitate to contact us if there's anything we can do to be helpful.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve.

Storm Clouds Forming: Kaine's Revenue Projections Clash With Fiscal Realities
    Obenshain commentary
As you may recall, this February, the General Assembly passed amendments to Virginia’s two year budget in order to plug the hole created by declining revenues. That budget, however, is built on certain projections or assumptions about the revenues we will collect for the remainder of the two year budget cycle...

Amy Frederick not to run for House of Delegates
Since first beginning to explore the possibility of campaigning to represent the people of the 52nd District in the House of Delegates, I have been humbled by the support and encouragement I received from across eastern Prince William county, and indeed, beyond. Having been honored to stand by Jeff's side for the past six years as he has served, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and get to know many of the people of this district. They have made this job a rewarding experience for both of us...

Virginia Can’t Afford Higher Taxes on Jobs
    Massie op-ed in Richmond Times-Dispatch
House Republicans, especially a 29-year businessman like myself, clearly understand -- and are experiencing -- how tough the economy is. If you are one of the thousands of Virginians who are unemployed, the pain caused by this recession is real and imme diate. We know "it's the economy, stupid"! We are very focused on implementing good public policy that will stimulate Virginia's economy and create good-paying jobs...

    My retirement from the House
    Jeff encourages Amy to run
It has been the greatest honor of my life to be able to serve and represent the citizens of eastern Prince William County in the House of Delegates, especially as the first Hispanic to ever serve in elected Virginia government.

House Advances Economic-Growth Driven Transportation Funding Plan
The Only Comprehensive Transportation Plan of 2009 Session Is Introduced by
Recognizing the importance of improving Virginia's transportation system to help stimulate economic recovery and restore economic prosperity across the Commonwealth, House Republicans today detailed an innovative, reform-oriented, and economic growth-drive transportation package that will create jobs, ease congestion and improve safety without raising taxes.

Frederick opposes Kaine plan to release violent felons early
Governor's cost-saving measure threatens Virginia families
When introducing his budget amendments last last year, Governor Kaine proposed that we let "non-violent" prisoners out of jail early to save money and help balance the state budget. Problem is, when you review the list of crimes committed by those the Governor wants to release early, I'd consider these people dangerous, to put it lightly.
